DUTCH OVEN TRI-TIP GUARANTEED TO EXCITE YOUR TASTE BUDS

DUTCH OVEN TRI-TIP GUARANTEED TO EXCITE YOUR TASTE BUDS

This is a fantastic recipe for in camp or at home. A cast iron dutch oven can be used over coals or in the oven. It turns out perfect every time. I don’t have exact measurements for ingredients. It will depend on the size of your tri-tip roast, and the size of your dutch oven. Favorite herbs and spices is also your preference and your taste buds. I tend to use what I have in the cupboards, or in the garden at the time. INGREDIENTS Tri-tip 1-2 Onion Seasoning: garlic,...Read More

I threw in some red pepper flakes...Read More

We were served a most delectable crunchy French toast with a secret ingredient. We had stewed spiced apples to top our French toast, and chunks of Canadian bacon. And lashings of freshly whipped cream to go on top. Washed down by BSA guideline mimosas made with orange juice and seven up. Did I say...Read More

AWARD WINNING DUTCH OVEN RECIPES IN THE MEDALS AT CAMPOREE

Every spring the BSA Mission Peak District holds a Spring Camporee. There is a dutch oven cooking competition on Saturday night. Each Troop must make a main dish, bread, and a dessert to feed their Troop and a few discerning judges. In 2018 our Troop placed in each category. The recipes are too good not to share. There is also a veggie bake bonus recipe. We originally thought we had to make a side, not a bread. REQUIRED EQUIPMENT FOR DUTCH OVEN COOKING 10-inch camp Dutch oven Lid lifter Heat...Read More
